1 - Validity and rollover of airtime and data.
- Monthly allocated airtime and data.
- Allocated AirMobile Monthly airtime and data is valid from the 1st (first) day of a calendar month and will be rolled over until the last day of the following calendar month.
- For example, AirMobile Monthly airtime and data allocated on 1 March will be valid until 30 April.
- The rollover period will not exceed 31 days.
- Data top ups.
- Valid until the end of the calendar month after the month in which it was allocated.
- For example, data allocated on the 15th of January will be valid until midnight on the last day of February.
- Airtime top ups.
- Valid until the end of the year after the year in which it was allocated.
- For example, airtime allocated on the 15th of June will expire at midnight on the 31st of December the following year.
2 - AirShare.
- You can easily share airtime and/or data with another AirMobile user using the AirMobile App.
- Please note that promotional data or airtime cannot be transferred.
3 - FREE calls to AirMobile numbers.
- Any call made until 31 December 2025 from one AirMobile number to another AirMobile number, will be free of charge.
- RICA documents must be uploaded via ClientZone or the AirMobile App before midnight on the day of sign up. If you fail to do so, your AirMobile services will be suspended.

How does this product differ from existing AirMobile packages?
Until recently, all Air Mobile (Pre Feb 2024) products worked by adding airtime and data onto an existing MTN SIM card.
AirMobile is now an MVNO (Mobile Virtual Network Operator). We run off MTN's infrastructure and network which means we do everything they can, we just don’t have the buildings and towers. You'll now get an AirMobile SIM card and all services will run through Afrihost.
This move gives us more power and control to give you nothing but Pure Mobile Joy!
How is your coverage?
AirMobile uses MTN towers, so we're everywhere you are!
Our network has expansive coverage in all major cities, towns and on national roads.
Our network is LTE capable in major centres, ensuring you get the absolute best speeds available - at no extra cost.
Moving to AirMobile.
Can I get a new number and SIM card directly from Afrihost?
Yes! During sign up, you can choose to get a physical SIM card delivered straight to your door. Or you can pop in at Afrihost HQ in Rivonia, JHB and grab your SIM card.

I'm on another network and want to keep my number. How do I move to AirMobile?
If you currently have a prepaid SIM card from another network, you must port your number to AirMobile.
Cancellation and handset fees may apply with your current Mobile Service Provider.
To port to AirMobile, click the "Try us out for FREE" button and follow the prompts during sign up.

If I port to AirMobile, how long must I wait before I can port to another service provider?
You will have to wait 60 days. This is due to regulatory practices and not AirMobile specific.

SIM cards.
Do you offer eSIMs?
Yes, you can sign up for an AirMobile eSIM. If your device is eSIM compatible, it is the quickest way to get up and running.
Not all devices are eSIM compatible, so make sure to check our list of eSIM compatible devices.
Can I get a physical SIM card?
Yes, we also have physical SIM cards.
All AirMobile SIMs are 3-way breakable and can break into the following sizes:
- standard,
- micro, and
- nano.
Our SIMs are for smart and not-so-smart phones and will fit most of the latest devices.
Make sure to always first check which SIM size your device takes before breaking the SIM. Using an incorrectly sized SIM can damage the device and void the warranty.
Once I have my SIM card, am I activated?
It depends on whether you are getting a new number or porting your existing number to AirMobile.
If you’re getting a new number from AirMobile.
Insert (or download) the SIM into the device. Network configuration settings will automatically be sent to your device. Alternatively, you can manually set up your APN by visiting setup.airmobile.co.za.
If you're porting to AirMobile.
Once you receive your new AirMobile SIM card, please DO NOT insert it into a device until the porting process is complete. When you get your SIM, visit setup.airmobile.co.za for a step-by-step guide.
Does an AirMobile SIM card expire?
No, your AirMobile SIM card will not expire.
Afrihost reserves the right to change this policy at any time.

How do I pay for AirMobile?
You can choose to pay either via Debit Order or Credit Card. You can easily manage your payment details in ClientZone or the App.
What is AirMobile's standard call rate?
The standard AirMobile call rate to all South African networks is 64c per minute (charged per second). This call rate is available as standard on AirMobile SIMs. Visit our AirMobile call rates page for more information.
Please note, however, that international roaming is not enabled at this time. We are working on adding this feature as soon as possible.
How do I keep track of my spend and usage?
You can easily manage your AirMobile products via ClientZone or the App.
You view your airtime/data balances at any time and get a detailed breakdown of your airtime and data usage.
Ensure you never get cut off by enabling usage notifications and setting up your Auto Top Up rules.
In the Accounts section, you can manage your payment details, make payments and view your invoices.

What can I transfer?
You can transfer airtime and mobile data that is active on your mobile number.
Please note, however, that any promotional airtime or data CANNOT be transferred.

Air Mobile (Pre Feb 2024) products use MTN SIM cards, so you must port your number to the new AirMobile MVNO.
